Sue Slack

More known for her brightly coloured landscapes of the North York Moors, Sue has recently begun to diversify her practice, exploring new ways of working in mixed media and collage. She prefers working outside directly from nature, responding to what she sees and hears.

Influenced by scenes she glimpses on her fell runs, Sue continues to be drawn by the shape of the land and increasingly by the effect that light can have. Colour also still plays a big part in Sue’s work, albeit with a slightly changed palette.
