Sandra did her first linocut at Primary School (when health & safety didn’t exist), a Snail going past a Rock. At Secondary School she made a 4-colour reduction linocut of an Armadillo standing by a Cactus. Perhaps a pattern was set.

In the late 70s, in a bookbinding phase, she bought a large nipping press and was able to carry on linocutting while still working as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator. The bookbinding fell by the wayside.

These linoprints on exhibition have been done since she joined Lockton Artists.

20 small mounted and framed original linoprints hand-printed on Japanese paper using oil-based wood engravers ink. Created in Sandra's Lockton garden studio, there is a narrative close to home in all of the artworks.
